Nightfeeding explores fragility, delicacy, and
need in infancy. In the installation, a miniature glass bed is precariously
suspended from a tree limb. Projected onto the glass bed’s surface
is a video of an infant awakening, being comforted and nursed back to
sleep. Illuminated solely by the video light, the fragile bed glows
like a beacon, while murmurs of the “Cradle Song” rise and
fall.
